Flower Fairies of the Garden -The Sweet Pea Fairy is constructed of the finest all wool felt. She measures 111/2" tall and is fully jointed at shoulders, hips and neck with new ball & socket jointing system.The Sweet Pea Fairyhas a sculpural hollow body with an internal wood mechanism to connect her limbs and head - a first for R. John Wright. This new innovative jointing system allows for expressive posing. The graceful hands are sewn with individual fingers and the facial features are delicately hand painted.The Sweet Pea Fairyhas a wig of the finest imported mohair. Her lovely fairy wings are sewn of fine silk organza and delicately hand colored.

This Garden Flower Fairy is dressed per the original Cicely Mary Barker illustrations in a 2-piece outfit consisting of a felt petal skirt and a fitted silk bodice. She wears hand-dyed knit silk tights and dainty silk and leather slippers on her feet.
